3.21.3

Added

  • Scope:
    • New Filter Editor view to preview frequency response of analog input filters.
    • Extent option for the Measurements tool makes use of cursors to limit the time range over which measurements are calculated.
    • Scope To Digital: Digitization of analog channels in mixed mode.
    • New 2D version of the XYZ view that uses a colormap to represent the 3rd channel.
    • New quick measurements for Automotive applications.
    • The Persistence view now supports Cursors.
    • New Channel Editor dialog allows management of settings for all Scope channels in one window.
  • Scope, Logic, Spectrum:
    • When using multiple software or device buffers, new Run/Stop options allow acquisition to automatically stop after buffers are filled or a custom limit is reached.
    • Analog Discovery Pro 3000-series and Eclypse Z7 now support Device Buffering (memory segmentation), allowing for rapid triggers with ~1 μs blind time.
  • Logger:
    • The plot’s time zero point can now be set to be either the left or right edge of the plot (first sample logged or most recent sample logged).
  • Network:
    • Option for Differential mode analysis using multiple Wavegen channels.
    • Math channels are now supported.
  • Logic:
    • Digital inputs can now be inverted.
    • New Persistence option, which is like the existing Scope Persistence view, allows for things like estimating a range of pulse lengths.
  • Logic, Pattern:
    • Shading of alternating rows can now be turned off.
    • Channels can now be cloned.
  • Protocol/SPI/Spy:
    • Multiple chip select and MISO signals are now supported.
    • Acquisitions can be recorded to binary files.
    • Digital Discovery DINs are now supported by the Protocol instrument.
  • Data Export: Date and time are included in exported data. Data order can be reversed.
  • Two-finger touch/zoom controls are now supported for devices with touchscreens.
  • Analog Discovery 3: Now supports adjustable drive (4, 8, 12, or 16 mA) and slew (slow, fast) for DIO and Trigger lines.
  • Digital Discovery: Simultaneous capture of all 40 input channels is now supported.
  • Analog Discovery Pro 3000-series, Digital Discovery: Digital voltage can now be adjusted via a device option in the application and the DwfParamDigitalVoltage SDK function.
  • Analog Discovery Pro (ADP5250):
    • 34-bit sampling of digital inputs allows for CLK0/1 support in Logic Analyzer.
    • New PowerFreq trigger source, derived from mains 50/60 Hz frequency.
  • Script: Now supports use of the host computer’s serial ports, such as COM ports.
  • SDK:
    • Analog input filters are now supported: New FDwfAnalogInChannelFiirInfo,Set,WindowSet,CustomWindowSet functions and AnalogIn_Filter.py example.
    • Device buffering features are supported through new FDwfAnalog/DigitalInBuffersInfo,Set,Get functions.

Changed

  • Scope:
    • Smart Noise band drawing. Noise bands have been added to the Zoom view.
    • Views for Filter and Wavegen channel controls are now enabled separately.
  • Wavegen: Device limits can now be seen in the preview and warnings are now displayed when these limits are exceeded.
  • Logic: To support 40-bit Digital Discovery captures and ADP5250 clock inputs, can now internally handle 8-, 16-, 32-, or 64-bit captures, previously, only 32-bit acquisitions were supported.

Many other fixes and improvements.
