Measurement Computing Corporation (MCC) and Data Translation (DT) DAQ products are now part of the Digilent family of test and measurement solutions. MCC and DT are leading suppliers of data acquisition solutions that are easy-to-use, easy-to-integrate, and easy-to-support.

The MCC USB-200 series are low-cost, 12-bit, multifunction DAQ devices designed for general purpose data acquisition applications. Each device features eight SE analog voltage inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital I/O, and one counter input.

  • USB-201 features a 100 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
    • Please note: the USB-201 is retired and no longer for sale in our store. Please consider the USB-202 as a possible replacement.
  • USB-202 features a 100 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
  • USB-205 features a 500 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
  • USB-201-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 100 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.
  • USB-204-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 500 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.
  • USB-205-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 500 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.

Software support includes DAQami, an out-of-the-box application for data logging, visualization, and signal generation. Data can be viewed in real-time or post-acquisition on user-configurable displays. Drivers are included for the most popular applications and programming languages including Visual C++®, Visual C#®, Visual Basic®.NET, DASYLab®, LabVIEW™, MATLAB®, Linux®, and Python™.

    The cost of this device is low but he performance is very good. The name "Measurement Computing" behind it means it will be around a long time so no worries about designing it into our new systems.

    Top notch tools and support

    Sales support (Bob) was excellent helping me to find the right unit. Tech support (Jeff) was great making sure I setup my input circuit correctly. UL for Linux was a breeze to download, build, and install. C and Python examples are amazing examples to get me started. The unit works.

    Does exactly what is says.

    This is a very good low cost data acquisition module. I have not had any problems with setting it up or reading the data. It does exactly what it say it does with no problems. My only wish is that the input voltage range was adjustable like some of the more expensive versions. This is not a big issue for my application as I could easily scale the input voltages (with resistor dividers) to better utilize the 12bit ADC resolution.

    This is my go to DAQ. Very good functionality for a great price. I've replaced several other DAQ's with this one. This is very easy to program and has a nice mix of I/O. I have four of these in one test fixture that gets daily use and has been in operation for a couple of years.

    I have used the USB-201 several times and it has yet to fail me. It has reasonable speed of measurement with great accuracy if you do not need a differential measurement.

    Reliable Product

    Our lab purchased this and other units from MC on multiple occasions, it worked well for us as a portable substitute ADC for data acquisition and display, good bang for the buck. It wasn't my first choice to buy an OEM version instead of the regular cased version since that was out of stock for a while and I don't want to wait. However, it works the same way and reliable in terms of operation. DAQami is a nice software for display and data recording, $50 is reasonable for the software.
