We are excited to announce that Digilent will be at ETH 2018 in Zurich, Switzerland on June 5th! We will be located at building ETZ K63, Gloriastrasse 35, Zurcih CH-8092, and our presenter will be Ciprian Hegbeli. The workshop goals are outlined below:
- Introduce participants to the basics of High Level Synthesis for FPGAs and Real-Time Video Processing pipelines. Illustrate the viability of video processing in reprogrammable logic, instead of software running on a general purpose microprocessor.
- Demonstrate the ease of use of Digilent Video Processing Platforms. Show how Digilent is freely available.
- Discuss how intellectual property modules can be (re)used in customer projects.
The workshop intends to get participants working on FPGA for real-time video processing, and then accelerate the design through the Digilent Zybo and Vivado HLS. Participants will also implement a real-time video processing platform using a Pcam 5C MIPI imaging sensor to visualize the results in hardware. The workshop is primarily aimed at faculty members, professors, instructors, laboratory staff in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Technology, First Year Engineering Education, Engineering Physics, Physics, and middle and high school teachers in the physical sciences.
Registration for the workshop is required (and space is limited), so make sure to get in touch as soon as possible if you are interested in participating!
