The Pmod R2R is resistor ladder with a R-2R resistor configuration. Users can provide 8-bits of parallel data to the module through GPIO signals. This setup teaches users the basic principles behind a Digital-to-Analog Converter.

    Simple pmod and does what it's supposed to.

    obviously it's not the best DAC but for simple projects it can get it done, and helps to learn the fundamentals of how a DAC takes digital signals and converts it into an analog signal.

    Great Board - Please Clarify Doc

    This was just what I needed, needed to read 4 switches into an analog input. Works great, small size, great quality. Not being familiar with the 12-pin PMOD interface, it did confuse me that there was a Vcc callout of pins 6 and 12 that did not appear in the schematic, and apparently are NC for the product. The non-use of these pins could be more explicitly indicated somewhere in the doc. "Vcc" implies that there is a required power input, which is not the case.
