Software Defined Radio
Accelerate your next wireless project with the Ettus USRP product line.
Digilent is proud to offer a select line of Ettus Software Defined Radios and accessories. Ettus Research™ USRP, an NI brand since 2010, is the world’s leading supplier of software-defined radio platforms and USRP™ products. What is USRP? Ettus Research Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) devices provide a flexible and configurable platform for radio frequency (RF) applications, allowing users to transmit and receive signals over a wide range of frequencies and bandwidths.
Ettus Research
We offer a range of USRP Ettus products to suit your needs, including the USRP B200/B200mini/B210, B205mini-i, and N210. The B200/B210 is a compact and affordable USRP board that provides up to 56 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. The B205mini-i is a low-cost, USB-powered USRP module that offers up to 30 MHz of bandwidth. The N210 is a modular, high-performance USRP platform that offers up to 1.2 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth.
By supporting a wide variety of development environments on an expansive portfolio of high-performance RF hardware, the USRP platform is the SDR platform of choice for thousands of engineers, hobbyists, and students worldwide for exploration, prototyping, and developing next-generation wireless technologies across a wide variety of applications. This software-defined radio portfolio combines ease of use and a robust open-source software community. Leveraging the power of the USRP Hardware Driver™ (UHD), engineers have access to an ecosystem of software options, from open-source to graphical system design.
RF Daughterboards
The Ettus line of Radio Frequency (RF) Daughterboards are perfect for users that require specific frequency coverage for their application using the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP™) family of software defined radio hardware.
One important thing to consider is the bandwidth capability of the USRP device selected. While a daughterboard may provide up to 40 MHz of RF bandwidth, this does not guarantee the USRP device can transfer an equal bandwidth to the host machine. If a user requires a specific maximum bandwidth, they should ensure both the daughterboard and USRP device meet those requirements.
Zmod SDR
The Digilent Zmod SDR is a digitizer designed for software-defined radio and RF applications. It is a SYZYGY™-compatible pod containing a dual-channel ADC and the associated front end. The Zmod SDR is intended to be used with any SYZYGY compatible carrier board. It features a wide input bandwidth, allowing for under-sampling applications - capturing signals with frequencies much higher than the baseline 122.88 MS/s sample rate's associated Nyquist frequency. An on-board low-jitter clock generator and low-noise design provide the precision necessary to capture fast radio signals. When paired with an Eclypse Z7 host board, the Zmod is supported in GNU Radio, providing a convenient and familiar interface for SDR experts and researchers.
SDR Enclosure Kits
Enclosure kits allow users to assemble a steel case to protect the board-only Ettus USRP and Eclypse Z7 SDR devices. K-slots on the front and rear of the enclosure provide additional security. The enclosure only supports green USRP B200 and B210 devices with the USB-B connector.
