    I received this kit for free as part of a promotion, so it is from the perspective of a box of "spare parts" I write this review. As other reviewers have pointed out, not all the parts are listed. However, all the difficult to identify parts are listed under the cover. Capacitors and resistors are not. It took me 10 minutes to write the resistor values down, and there is space included to do so. The capacitors are all clearly labeled and there is no trouble finding the correct device. Most of the value in this kit is in the ICs, and all the important ones are included (as well as a few specialty ones). It is a little light on transistors, diodes, LEDs, and capacitors (easily fixed for cheap). This appears to be a companion parts box for a larger university EE curricula kit. Sadly, I was not able to find out what training material this was meant for. Therefore, this box stands mostly on its own as spare parts. If you do not need or value have a box of random parts, this isn't for you. If your parts drawer is on the "light" side, this will be a great starter set.

    None of the resistors come labelled making it much more time intensive to find the right one. It also comes with a completely smooth double ended pocket screwdriver which is only good if you want a free unscheduled palm piercing. The RexQualis kits available for roughly $10 are a much better deal. This kit is far too overpriced.

    No Parts List

    Most of the individual buying this component are students, i.e. they're new to electrical components and circuits. There needs to be a more in depth parts list associated with the kit. Students shouldn't have to spend hours researching google to determine the components in this kit. Examples: The inductors cannot be identified and aren't even on the parts list above. The capacitors need to be listed by their ceramic code. You could also label the resistor taping so students don't have to spend hours doing that as well. I've spent more time trying to learn how to use this equipment than actually using the equipment to test my course's learning objectives. A kit of this caliber should probably come with a small pamphlet that includes identification of components, measured values, pinout diagrams, etc. One Star.
