Well made, simple to implement, and inexpensive.

Posted by GoTest on 24th Feb 2014

The USB-ERB24 arrived as advertised and came in earlier than the estimated shipping date. The documentation is more than adequate and the product has been reliable, at least as long as we have been using it. If you need a quick solution that will allow you to switch a large number of signals with ease and flexibility, this is it. Pros - Affordable, simple and durable. The ability to configure the control logic for each relay bank as Active Hi or Low is a plus. It has the ability to daisy chain multiple units so that an external hub is not needed. Comes with clips for mounting on a DIN rail or ears for hard mounting to a wall of panel. Cons - As with all MCC devices, it would be nice if they showed up in NI-MAX. Although the InstaCAL program is relatively easy to use, it can be confusing for some first time users. The unit is not very compact, but then again it does have 24 relays. It would have been nice if they stacked the relays into 2 rows of 12 in order to conserve space.

USB-ERB24 is easy to use and very reliable

Posted by ECON on 24th Feb 2014

I am new to automation and this unit has been very easy for me to learn on. Set-up is easy and you can't beat the USB interface in conjunction with the universal library. Overall I am very pleased with the USB-ERB24 relay unit and the support that MC has given me.

    Inexpensive and easy to use

    Posted by MB2109 on 5th Feb 2014

I use these and other Measurement Computing interfaces often with NI Labview they work great and are very reasonably priced. I rated tech service as average, but in reality have never needed to use tech service.....

Excellent Addition to our Test Lab

    Posted by QTEng25 on 28th Aug 2013

This has been an excellent addition for our Test Lab, and a good all-around tool. The ULx library examples for LabVIEW are simple and easy to adapt, making it ideal for quick prototyping and a great time saver. The on-board pull up/pull down option is a nice feature of the design. It only pulls up to 5V though, we have some tests where it would be nice to pull up to an external supply. This can still be done, just in a less tidy way. We ended up using the pull-down feature on our first test. This simplified our wiring considerably. There is nothing on-board to indicate each relay's state. We have used it for several automated test projects so far. Performance and Reliability have been good.

Easy to use, well build, good value.

    Posted by Hunter888 on 2nd Aug 2013

Easy to use with the LV driver included in the installation CD. It comes with the metal enclosue and DC power supply, feels rigid and well build. Comparing with the other relay board options available from other big name suppliers, it has very good value (low cost :). Has used it for serval test automation projects and so far the performance meets the expectations and reliability is good. Keep the good work, MCC.

Exceptional for bench testing and prototyping.

Posted by rassion on 2nd Aug 2013

This USB-ERB24 had being an exceptional incorporation into one of our tools. easy to mount, easy to power and connect to computers and easy to wire. Thanks to its electromechanic relays this device can be use almost for everything, from open or closing valves up to controlling more complex devices. the only downside is the size of this unit, a bit big to mount in reduce space. Relays could be stocked into to levels with 12 relays on each level.

High quality electromechanical relay but with no synchronization

Posted by grasshpr on 1st Aug 2013

This product is an economical relay system that provides ease of use with flexible usb configurations. Only draw back of this product is that you can't synchronize the rely activation with an additional device other than software triggering.
