Measurement Computing Corporation (MCC) and Data Translation (DT) DAQ products are now part of the Digilent family of test and measurement solutions. MCC and DT are leading suppliers of data acquisition solutions that are easy-to-use, easy-to-integrate, and easy-to-support.

The MCC USB-200 series are low-cost, 12-bit, multifunction DAQ devices designed for general purpose data acquisition applications. Each device features eight SE analog voltage inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital I/O, and one counter input.

  • USB-201 features a 100 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
    • Please note: the USB-201 is retired and no longer for sale in our store. Please consider the USB-202 as a possible replacement.
  • USB-202 features a 100 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
  • USB-205 features a 500 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input.
  • USB-201-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 100 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.
  • USB-204-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 500 kS/s sample rate, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.
  • USB-205-OEM: DAQ device with 8 SE analog inputs, 12-bit resolution, 500 kS/s sample rate, 2 analog outputs, 8 digital I/O, and 1 counter input. OEM version removes enclosure and screw terminals and adds headers.

Software support includes DAQami, an out-of-the-box application for data logging, visualization, and signal generation. Data can be viewed in real-time or post-acquisition on user-configurable displays. Drivers are included for the most popular applications and programming languages including Visual C++®, Visual C#®, Visual Basic®.NET, DASYLab®, LabVIEW™, MATLAB®, Linux®, and Python™.

    Quick solution that works

    This DAQ comes with the software needed to make it pretty much a plug and play device. I haven't tried using it with labview or other software but I imagine it can't be that difficult to set up._x000D_ _x000D_ I have only used the analog channels to read pressure transducer voltages but It works great.

    This product comes with an easy to use setup disk to give you all the base libraries to build and customize you own Data Acquisition control system. Also comes with several pre-built program for testing and simple control

    If you need something simple, cheap and easy to get up and running, this is a great choice. MC needs to be careful though, as a lot of free or low cost solutions are starting to become available and this DAQ may suffer from the innovators dilemma. While I found an open source python wrapper and manipulated it for my needs, it would be great if MC supported python. The solution I cam up with works really well and python is what everyone is migrating to.

    I like the Universal library. I just had to make a few changes in my Labview program and all was fine!

    DAQ which cannot do differential measurements is of little value to me

    Classroom use only. It was my fault that I missed the fact that this widget CANNOT do differential measurements. I have not even used this thing other than setting up the DAQ interface via mccdaq & labview. I'll be pursuing an exchange for something similar, BUT WITH AT LEAST 4CH DIFFERENTIAL analog inputs.

    Excellent low cost simple solution for multiple lab uses

    I got this mostly because it came with a free full version of DAQAMi. I needed a low cost, easily adaptable unit. So far it has been a super simple, plug and play addition to our lab for prototype testing. I have yet to stretch it's legs and try out it's advanced features and set it up on LabView but that is coming. I like the instacal also for identifying uncertainties. I recommend it for bench testing where you just need general testing and datalogging and you don't want to tie up your precision equipment with daily tasks.
