    Great little device

Posted by roberts on 31st Jul 2013

This is a great little device for tests where a high speed DAQ or full blown data logger would be overkill. The 1208-LS is half the cost and easier to program with LabView than the USB-6009 from National Instruments. I would highly recommend this device!

The product works well . Tech support on it was excellent. The only complaint was documentation was a bit fragmented but tech support more than makes up for it.

Easy to incorporate in your VB6 programs

Posted by Christian on 29th Apr 2013

This is an excellent device if you are looking to incorporate a number of temperature and voltage measurements in your project. It is also very easy to write the Visual basic code withing your software. A small drawback is the limit of 10V to the analog inputs which can be overcome using resistor voltage dividers.

    Great basic data acquisition device

Posted by AaronKS on 2nd Apr 2013

I have been using the USB-1208FS for several years and have been very happy with this product. I tried new USB-1208FS-Plus and I was pleased with the new features. In particular this device seems to be able to transfer data after a scan rather than waiting for a full buffer before delivering the data to the computer. If you are sampling at lower speeds and still want quick updates of the data this works much better than waiting for 31 samples which was an odd number on the older unit.

    A good value.

Posted by TomEE on 25th Mar 2013

I have put a lot of long hours into the USB-1208LS. It certainly beats watching batteries charge and discharge! The 4 differential analog inputs are used most often. The 8 input capability was used a few times, after getting help from the Measurement Computing Ap Engr for setting it up. It features just enough resolution to satisfy my needs. However, it would be nice if the analog inputs had higher input impedance. The available 5VDC is handy for powering measurement functions. I use two units almost daily and could use a third when the work assignments get hectic.
