Very easy to use, great support, low cost

    Posted by jpw3 on 28th Aug 2013

I have been very pleased with our use of the USB-1208FS-Plus. It has just the functionality we need at a very reasonable cost. Documentation is very good - lots of good examples. Telephone tech support was fantastic. I will definitely consider MCC for future DAQ needs.

    Easy to use product

    Posted by Mike1960 on 28th Aug 2013

In the business of designing and building custom equipment, my customers sometimes are very tech minded, some not at all. This product covers all of them. It is simple to wire and set up. My customers are very satisfied with the ease of use of the software. This basic unit (USB-1208FS) allows users to experience the wide range of applications for data acquisition without breaking the bank.

Easy to install, use and understand

Posted by MDEngineer on 27th Aug 2013

We have been using this device to measure, collect, record and reproduce the data generated in our R&D lab with great success. But as we needed to use hardware trigger to record the data, we had to get TracerDAQ Pro software to serve our purpose. It is easy to configure, has ample sampling frequency and resolution to serve our purpose. Having multiple channels is quite helpful to us. I wish to use its other capabilities soon.

    quick and easy, works great

Posted by chrisP on 27th Aug 2013

Have three of these kicking around- two in constant use plotting signal strength with the free TracerDAQ software and one as a troubleshooting tool. Software is pretty basic but does the job. Installation for all was quick and easy, and we had them up and running in a very short time. Third system is used for troubleshooting- monitor a bunch of signals using a small .net application. Pretty basic but very useful.

    Awesome value

Posted by ElectroMike on 27th Aug 2013

We have used many MC devices as well as much higher prices competitors and for what we do there is doubt the MC beats out the competition. Why spend so much money then a whole lot more on software when you can use this?

    Never dread setting these up.

Posted by soaringdude on 27th Aug 2013

I have specified, and applied these for several data acquisition applications around the world. Always easy to set up, calibrate and get on with the job. I have always used with DasyLab. Another great product for easy data acquisition. Also Measurement Computing ha GREAT technical support any time I have needed it.

    A great, simple I/O box!

Posted by AgPhD on 27th Aug 2013

As an non-engineer trying to do engineering "things" (like create my own sensor arrays# I needed a simple, easy to use I/O board. It don't get any better than this. Although it takes a little READING of the manual to get started, this box is easy enough to be used by ANYONE. Sure, for us non-engineering types it might take a little playing around to get everything "correct" #such as figuring out which sensors are differential# but I had a series of non-MC sensors up, running and recording within a day, easy. The only time I needed tech support, they cleared up my question in a matter of minutes. Simple, easy and efficient. The ONLY thing that I would like to LOVE to see added to this entry level I/O is to have at least one SDI-12 input. Probably too much to ask, but this box dang near perfect otherwise....

    Great product

Posted by MrOo on 27th Aug 2013

We use the USB-1208FS in a advanced development lab. The primary role is to monitor a variety of inputs, the software then determines the outputs to actuate. The unit is very easy to work with and a good value compared to similar products that are available.

    Great Device, Great Support

Posted by JackM on 27th Aug 2013

I decided to use the 1208 for a prototype project. I have done programming in the past on 1980s era PLCs but never anything like this device. Whenever I ran into a problem, MC was there to help quickly and effectively. I can't recommend them or the hardware more highly. The unit was a great value for the money and helped me evaluate the project perfectly.
