    Good Value.

    Posted by Brian2112 on 16th Jun 2015

I am evaluating this as a replacement for a USB O-Scope and Bench-top Multi Meter in a Automated test setup. I am still getting it running but so far it has been easy to connect and get measurements. Initial connection to the device is slow, but once connected it runs very fast.

Works well with National Instruments' LabView

Posted by Bob W on 16th Apr 2015

I took less than one day to load supporting software, documentation, and run some of the example applications. Interfaces well with NI's LabView 2011.

little difference from an arduino uno

Posted by oc on 16th Mar 2015

Slightly better bit depth (11 vs 10) and greater AI/O range (+-10V vs 5V) than a uno but at 10x the cost. In fact for applications requiring <5V arduino's are superior.

Excellent mid-balance between performance and price

Posted by Sandrino M. on 9th Mar 2015

Like all Measurement Computing low-cost series products, USB-1408FS provides unchallenged performance for the money. The product is ideal for integrators that need for their applications a little bit more than 12bit resolution and in the same time maintain a tight cost for the end product.

Difficult to set up, but product works well

Posted by Nathan on 11th Feb 2015

This was very difficult to set up to measure pressures from a transducer. Once I figured out the set-up, The product worked great.

This product has excellent value for the price

    Posted by Chris01 on 11th Jan 2015

Inserting this unit in my Visual basic project was a snap. In one low cost unit I am able to monitor all my critical system voltages as well as reading the digital signals from the system. And it is compact!

    Super fast DAQ

Posted by JoeV on 18th Nov 2014

The USB-1408FS-Plus is a very fast DAQ with excellent compatibility with DasyLab software. Setup is fast and easy. John Rys in technical support is extremely helpful in selecting this product for my specific application and very knowledgeable about trouble shooting all sorts of issues.

    Unclear input filtering, if any

Posted by Earendil on 19th Aug 2014

We put this into a setup with 4 differential inputs with content up to ~ 10 MHz and got rather large noisy signals compared to the 1608FS ($399) we are also using. We were hoping to measure just the DC average value of these signals, basically. This is pretty naive, but, since we learned something, figured I would post. To reduce complexity, we pulled the card out and connected up 3 channels directly to a function generator running a 2Vpk-pk sine wave. The fourth went to a power supply (impedance unknown, presumably low). With 1 MHz input waveforms there is considerable noise on the the signals suggesting a lack of filtering. I realize this is a very slow sampling card, but just want to caution users that there is certainly no brick wall filter and maybe no filter at all to stop you from shooting yourself in the foot. We did not see crosstalk to the input connected to the power supply, but we were not looking down in the mud. A better description of the input impedance and crosstalk specs would be a nice add to the datasheet.

Can you say "EASY" to setup and use...

    Posted by Webb10 on 2nd Jul 2014

Fastest and easiest to setup and get running of all the DAQ settings I have used.
