NI Software
After nearly a decade of service, Multisim Live will officially reach End-of-Life (EOL) on September 15, 2026.
While Multisim Live has served many users well, we are focusing our investment on the NI Circuit Design Suite (Multisim Desktop) for Windows, which offers deeper integration with NI hardware, broader feature support, and long-term supportability. Read the full Multisim Live EOL Letter.
What this Means for You
- Multisim Live platform support will end on September 15, 2026. After this date, Digilent does not guarantee the continued access to any Multisim Live data, including your saved designs.
- Multisim Live is no longer recommended for new designs. Use the NI Circuit Design Suite instead.
- Monthly subscription licenses will remain available until August 1, 2026. Yearly subscription licenses are no longer available for purchase
Product Upgrade Suggestion: NI Circuit Design Suite (Multisim Desktop)
The Circuit Design Suite combines Multisim and Ultiboard software to offer a complete set of tools for circuit design, simulation, validation, and layout.
The Circuit Design Suite helps you design circuits using intuitive and cost-effective tools. You can perform interactive SPICE simulation and seamlessly transition to PCB layout and routing software. Built for education, research, and design, the suite provides advanced simulation capabilities to give you clear insights into how circuits perform under any situation.
There are two editions of the NI Circuit Design Suite available:
NI LabVIEW
NI LabVIEW is a powerful graphical programming environment that simplifies the development of automated test, measurement, and control systems. Using an intuitive, visual approach to programming, LabVIEW allows users to design applications that acquire, analyze, and present real-world data with remarkable speed and flexibility. Its modular architecture and extensive library of functions make it ideal for everything from classroom experiments to complex industrial systems. Seamlessly integrating with NI and Digilent hardware, NI LabVIEW enables engineers, researchers, and educators to turn ideas into working systems—bridging the gap between theory, design, and practical implementation.
