Installing a Terminal Emulator on Linux

To install PuTTY on Ubuntu machines. Open the command line terminal by pressing Ctrl — Alt — T keys on your keyboard. When the terminal opens, run the following commands below to install PuTTY.

Enter the command sudo apt update in the terminal. Then enter the correct password and then hit enter.

Enter the command sudo apt install putty in the terminal and then hit enter.


3.

After installing, go to Unity Dash or the application menu and find PuTTY SSH Client.


4.

Open PuTTY SSH Client. It is the same interface as on a Windows OS.
