Pmod™ License Agreement

The materials that are the subject of this Agreement shall consist of:

• The “Pmod™” name and the Pmod Interface Specification. (hereinafter referred to as the “Licensed Materials”).
• “Pmod™” is used to refer to:
  1. plug-in modules
  2. a connector (or header) placed on system boards
  3. a connector interface specification

Using the Pmod Interface Specification: Licensee is authorized to make plug-in modules and place connecters on system boards that comply with the Pmod Interface Specification. The Pmod Interface Specification can be downloaded below.

Using the Pmod Name: In order to use the term “Pmod” in a product name, the product must fully comply with the Pmod Interface Specification, be CE and ROHS compliant, and include the text “Pmod™ Compatible” in the name. An example of a permitted name is “Temp Sensor YYYY Pmod™ Compatible”. An example of a prohibited name is “Pmod YYYY”.

When referring to a connector (or header) placed on a system board, the connector (or header) must fully comply with the Pmod Interface Specification and include the text “Digilent Pmod™ Compatible”. An example of a permitted use when referring to a system board is “the YYYY board features four Digilent Pmod™ Compatible headers.”

When referring to the Pmod Interface Specification, the name must include “Digilent Pmod™ Interface Specification”. For example, “the YYYY system complies with the Digilent Pmod™ Interface Specification.”

The name “Pmod™” is the trademark of Digilent Inc. The Pmod Interface Specification is the property of Digilent Inc. Licensee acknowledges that any and all intellectual property in, including but not limited to patent, copyright and title to the Licensed Materials and any trademarks or service marks relating thereto, remain with Digilent. Licensee shall have no right, title or interest in the Licensed Materials except as expressly set forth in this Agreement.

Digilent shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits, arising out of the use of or the inability to use the Licensed Materials.

Digilent makes no representation or warranty, and expressly disclaims any liability with respect to the content of any Licensed Materials, including but not limited to errors or omissions contained therein, libel, infringement of rights of publicity, privacy, trademark rights, moral rights, or the disclosure of confidential information.

The Licensed Materials are provided on an “as is” basis, and Digilent disclaims any and all other warranties, conditions, or representations (express, implied, oral or written), relating to the Licensed Materials or any part thereof, including, without limitation, any and all implied warranties of quality, performance, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
