I must confess, my familiarity with it stems form the harmless fun of Whack-a-Kitty, a version that has kittens attempting to escape from box and being lightly tapped with an inflatable hammer. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Nexys-2-Whack-A-Mole\/?ALLSTEPS\">version explored in this Instructable<\/a> by\u00a0<span class=\"author\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/member\/fuzmike2\/\" rel=\"author\">fuzmike2<\/a>\u00a0uses a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,400,789&amp;Prod=NEXYS2\">Nexys 2 board<\/a> to create a fun, new way to play Whack-a-Mole.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"735\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pausAon7RFw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>This project uses the Nexys 2 board, 3 LEDs, the ISE Design Suite, the Adept software, and the Whackamole files.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Nexys-2-Whack-A-Mole\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9202\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/nexys-2-whackamole-445x600.jpg\" alt=\"nexys-2-whackamole\" width=\"445\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/nexys-2-whackamole-445x600.jpg 445w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/nexys-2-whackamole.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 445px) 100vw, 445px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Much like the standard game of Whack-a-Mole, this project has you &#8220;whack&#8221; the &#8220;moles&#8221; when they come up. However, this version is\u00a0simulated on a Nexys 2 board. Once you have the zip files downloaded, the game\u00a0begins.
