NYCU’s DEE, recognizing the importance of practical experience, seamlessly integrated the Analog Discovery 2 into their Electronic and Electrical Laboratory and Digital System Laboratory courses. The AD2 became a versatile ally, enabling students to supply power, generate signals using a function generator, and capture waveforms with an oscilloscope. In the Digital System Laboratory, the AD2’s pattern generator played a pivotal role in producing digital inputs, while the logic analyzer helped students observe circuit output results and decode them into ASCII or BCD code.<\/p>\n

NYCU, like many other institutions, faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic that prompted a shift in their traditional laboratory setups. The AD2 offered a practical solution, allowing students \u2013 predominantly sophomores studying electronics and circuit theory \u2013 to conduct experiments in the comfort of their dormitories. It ensured that learning continued beyond the confines of a traditional classroom, offering a unique and hands-on experience. NYCU purchased over 400 units of the AD2 so that each student in the course received their own device, ensuring a seamless transition between classroom and remote learning environments.<\/p>\n
