No, not the one where the season is changing in earnest, but time for a new release version of the WaveForms software!\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Historically speaking, a new WaveForms release has coincided with release of new hardware. To the surprise of all of us, this is not the case this time. Instead, this release is more akin to a feature and stability update. Since the release of the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/analog-discovery-3\/\">Analog Discovery 3<\/a> back in June of this year, everybody, both externally on the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forum.digilent.com\/forum\/8-test-and-measurement\/\">Test and Measurement Forum,<\/a> and internally has been keeping the incredibly talented WaveForms developer Attila very busy with new feature requests, bug fixes, cosmetic changes, and quality of life updates.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The formal release of 3.21.1 is freely available through the MyProducts section on the Digilent Cloud and the changelog is available on the<a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/reference\/software\/waveforms\/waveforms-3\/start\">WaveForms Resource Center.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you\u2019re still here reading this blog post instead of actively using the new WaveForms version for some reason, I suppose I can take you through some of the new feature highlights that come with WaveForms 3.21.1.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/limiting-the-scope-of-a-measurement-with-extent-for-measurements-in-waveforms\/\">Measurements Extent<\/a> has been introduced, allowing users to focus their measurements on specific signal segments. The Analog Discovery 3, Eclypse Z7, and Analog Discovery Pro 3000 series devices offer the capability to implement their own filters.
