The <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/35GIJSe\">Analog Discovery 2<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2tIxsnm\">Digital Discovery<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2QEMkMD\">Analog Discovery Studio<\/a> are ALL compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. That&#8217;s good because it makes our wonderful portable instruments even more accessible, but bad because it means that you have to admit that you were wrong in thinking that we weren&#8217;t looking out for you. In this post, we will be focusing on how to get your <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2QEMkMD\">Analog Discovery Studio<\/a> up and running on a Mac OS.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of which type of OS you are using, the first thing you&#8217;re going to need to do is <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/reference\/software\/waveforms\/waveforms-3\/start\">download WaveForms from the Resource Center<\/a>, then you will need to do the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the .dmg file from the download location.<\/li>\n<li>From the desktop, open the WaveForms Drive.<\/li>\n<li>Move the WaveForms icon to the Applications folder.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/reference\/_media\/reference\/instrumentation\/analog-discovery-studio\/getting-started-guide\/mac-open-package-3.png\" width=\"551\" height=\"351\" \/><\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<abbr title=\"\" data-original-title=\"Operating System\">OS<\/abbr>\u00a0may block the launch of WaveForms when it is opened for the first time. If this is the case, go into the System Preferences&#8217; Security and Privacy page and click\u00a0<strong>Open Anyway<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/reference\/_media\/reference\/instrumentation\/analog-discovery-studio\/getting-started-guide\/mac-open-waveforms-security.png\" width=\"601\" height=\"489\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And&#8230; if you&#8217;re working with a newer version of Mac OS, that&#8217;s it! However, if you are using OS-X 10.13 or earlier, you&#8217;ll have a few more steps to install some drivers.
