Additionally they provided a sneak peek at our newest FPGA board, the Arty S7. However it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/products\/design-tools\/ise-design-suite.html\">only supported in ISE<\/a>, a tool that was no longer being actively developed by Xilinx. \u00a0This shift left Spartan users in a strange place- either <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.xilinx.com\/t5\/Welcome-Join\/Want-to-migrate-Spartan-6-to-Artix-7\/td-p\/710713\">migrate to larger,<\/a> more capable products (such as the Artix 7), or keep developing in an aging tool chain.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/support\/documentation\/product-briefs\/spartan-7-product-brief.pdf\">Spartan 7<\/a> family solves that dilemma, and adds a focus on power consumption.
