However, what exactly is being made with this hardware? Today we will address that very question, by profiling some awesome Arty projects we have found in the community!<\/p>\n<p>First project on our list is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackster.io\/user685623611\/gyrodisplay-d96a0c\">GyroDisplay <\/a>project by<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hackster.io\/user685623611\">user685623611.<\/a> This project uses a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/pmodclp-character-lcd-with-parallel-interface\/\">Pmod CLP <\/a>and<a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/pmod-gyro-3-axis-digital-gyroscope\/\"> Pmod GYRO<\/a> to complete its task.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21874\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/d-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" data-wp-pid=\"21874\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/d-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/d-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/d-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/d.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The setup is designed to use a gyroscope to display acceleration data in three axes on a 16&#215;2 LCD display and through PWM on 4 RGB LEDs. This allows for many possibilities and expansion due to its simplicity and the fact that it does not use very many of the Arty&#8217;s resources!<\/p>\n<p>The second project we were very impressed by is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackster.io\/atang08\/arty-guessing-game-7727a0\">Arty Guessing Game<\/a> by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackster.io\/atang08\">Arvin Tang.\u00a0<\/a>This fun and interactive setup allows the user to play a guessing game with the development board and a terminal emulator. It makes use of the onboard buttons and switches to give the user and interactive platform to make guesses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21876\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/arty_guessinggame_kbaGM6iRqG-600x431.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"431\" data-wp-pid=\"21876\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/arty_guessinggame_kbaGM6iRqG-600x431.jpg 600w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/arty_guessinggame_kbaGM6iRqG.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One very interesting feature of this game was the authors conclusion regarding game play after building the project and testing out the game. He noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This guessing game happens to be built in such a way that you can almost always get to the correct answer within the given number of tries using this algorithm: start by guessing eight, then add or subtract the next lowest power of two according to the game&#8217;s message. This will guarantee finding the answer unless the answer is either 0 or 1. When this happens, you will be forced to guess between 0 and 1. This algorithm can be generalized to larger guessing games to determine how many chances would be required to guarantee or almost guarantee finding the correct answer. A guessing game between 0 and 2^n will require n chances to find the answer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The third <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hackster.io\/atang08\/artybot-551478\">project <\/a>we found in the community was also by Arvin Tang, and involved using the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/arty-z7-apsoc-zynq-7000-development-board-for-makers-and-hobbyists\/\">Arty <\/a>to make a line following robot. This project used a Shadow chassis as well as a motor, wheels, and wheel encoder. We were particularly impressed with the division of the project documentation in to five distinct milestones, to help users follow along with the process!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21879\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/img_0723_dCtCfqjLAp-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" data-wp-pid=\"21879\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/img_0723_dCtCfqjLAp-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/img_0723_dCtCfqjLAp-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/img_0723_dCtCfqjLAp-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/img_0723_dCtCfqjLAp.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We absolutely love seeing what people come up with and how creative one can get with projects!
