While this is incredibly useful, we were delighted to discovery that Multisim has been known to <em>also<\/em>\u00a0be useful on the digital side.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20435\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20435\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/ni-multisim-student-edition-circuit-design-and-simulation-software\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20435 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/FAU8P5ZJ1MF0USS-600x290.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"290\" data-wp-pid=\"20435\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20435\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A digital design using schematic capture with Multisim.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">We were all heartbroken when we found that schematic capture was not going to be supported in <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/products\/design-tools\/vivado.html\">Xilinx Vivado<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">. Well dry your tears and ungrind your gears, for Multisim has solved that problem!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> On specific Digilent Boards, you can now use <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/ni-multisim-student-edition-circuit-design-and-simulation-software\">Multisim<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> to program with schematic capture. This means that you can take full advantage of specific Xilinx FPGAs <em>without writing a single line of code<\/em>. Currently Multisim works with the Vivado-compatible<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/basys-3-artix-7-fpga-trainer-board-recommended-for-introductory-users\/\"> Basys 3<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">, <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/preview-arty-s7-spartan-7-fpga-for-makers-and-hobbyists\/\">Arty<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">, and <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/cmod-a7-breadboardable-artix-7-fpga-module\/\">Cmod A7<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">. It also works with most<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/products\/design-tools\/ise-design-suite.html\"> ISE<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> compatible class=\"wp-caption-text\">Here you can see some of the Digilent Boards Available to use in Multisim.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>All you have to do, after (downloading and installing <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/ni-multisim-student-edition-circuit-design-and-simulation-software\">Multisim<\/a> and required files) is drag and drop the block diagram you want to be showed off this capablitity with a demo of\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 14px;\" href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/ni-multisim-student-edition-circuit-design-and-simulation-software\">Multisim<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> working with the Basys
