{"id":20392,"date":"2017-05-22T10:01:45","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T17:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.digilentinc.com\/?p=20392"},"modified":"2017-05-22T10:01:45","modified_gmt":"2017-05-22T17:01:45","slug":"touch-sensitive-piano-at-ni-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/touch-sensitive-piano-at-ni-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Touch Sensitive Piano at NI week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In preparation for <a href=\"http:\/\/niweek.ni.com\/\">NI Week 2017<\/a>, and with the help of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ni.com\/labview\/\">LabVIEW<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labviewmakerhub.com\/doku.php?id=libraries:linx:start\">LabVIEW MakerHub LINX<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,892,1193&amp;Prod=CHIPKIT-WF32\">chipKIT WF32<\/a>, I was able to make an improved version of my touch sensitive piano. This new version allows you to pick between 9 different sound profiles and makes it easier to turn any conductive surface into a soundboard.<strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-20643\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" data-wp-pid=\"20643\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460-1200x900-cropped.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_9460.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This circuit works as a voltage divider (simple drawing shown at the bottom of the picture above), with one of the resistors (R1) being the 2 1M\u03a9 resistors in series and the second\u00a0resistor (R2) is the resistance of your body.
