First let&#8217;s take a look at the hardware.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/electronics-explorer-all-in-one-usb-oscilloscope-multimeter-workstation\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-19870\" src=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EEboard-hardware-600x458.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"458\" data-wp-pid=\"19870\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EEboard-hardware-600x458.png 600w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EEboard-hardware-768x586.png 768w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EEboard-hardware-800x611.png 800w, https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/EEboard-hardware.png 888w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>Starting on the top left of the board we see the Micro-USB connector that is used to provide communication between the hardware, and the Windows, Mac or Linux run software.<\/p>\n<p>The auxiliary power supply is required to power the board and all of the tools. Along the bottom we have the Scope, Analog and Power sections of the board.<\/p>\n<p>The SCOPE section consists of 4 differential analog inputs, with a DC and AC channel on each one. The ANALOG section consists of 2 reference voltage supplies, 2 differential analog outputs, and the 4 voltmeter channels.<\/p>\n<p>The POWER section contains VP+, the positive power supply, vp- the negative power supply, and Vcc the 2 channel fixed power supply.<\/p>\n<p>On top you have 32 digital inputs and outputs. And of course in the middle is the large breadboard-able workspace.<\/p>\n<p>These inputs and outputs were all designed for use with specific tools. All of these tools can be accessed through WaveForms or <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/waveforms-2015-download-only\/\">WaveForms 2015,<\/a> which is the free, Mac, Linux, and windows compatible software toolset. The <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/electronics-explorer-all-in-one-usb-oscilloscope-multimeter-workstation\/\">EE Board <\/a>features the same tools as the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/shop\/analog-discovery-2-100msps-usb-oscilloscope-logic-analyzer-and-variable-power-supply\/\">Analog Discovery 2<\/a>, but with different specifications, number of channels and for some of them slightly different features.<\/p>\n<p>The first tool is an Oscillocope:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19874\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19874\" style=\"width:
