In my previous post I went over <strong>Lab 1: Resistor-Capacitor Circuits<\/strong>. Students will learn how to build and analyze passive and active filters. The lab goes through the differences in their responses and how they can affect design choices.<\/p>\n<p>This lab utilizes two sets of software, <a href=\"http:\/\/beta.multisim.live\">Multisim Live<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/Digilentinc.com\/waveforms3\">WaveForms 2015<\/a>. Multisim live is a browser-based PC software that allows students to simulate their circuits from their tablet, smartphone, or computer, no matter where they are.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/Digilentinc.com\/waveforms3\">Waveforms 2015<\/a> is the software that drives the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/analogdiscovery2\">Analog Discovery 2<\/a>. For this lab, students will use the Waveform Generators to provide the AC input,\u00a0and Oscilloscope and Network Analyzer to discover the output. They can then use the scope to show how the low-pass filter removes the &#8220;noise&#8221; from the signal.
