At some point I realized that since he is black, you can&#8217;t see him at night, so a costume using LEDs would be perfect. Eventually, I came upon the idea of an LED spider costume.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have a pet, you could make these spiders and hang them from the ceiling or put them outside in webs. They would make a fun and bright decoration.<\/p>\n<p>The costume uses eight\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,1332,1496&amp;Prod=WS2812-WP\">WS2812 Weatherproof LED strips<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,892,1035&amp;Prod=CHIPKIT-UC32\">uC32<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,393,1343&amp;Prod=BUNDLE-PROJBOX-STICKERS\">project box<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Catalog.cfm?NavPath=2,393&amp;Cat=3#SBB1\">breadboard<\/a>, and lots of <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Catalog.cfm?NavPath=2,393&amp;Cat=3#WIRE\">wires<\/a>. After getting the project together, I tested it on a Sprite bottle.
