Instructables user <span class=\"author\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/member\/myronking\/\" rel=\"author\">myronking<\/a>\u00a0created <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Putting-wheels-on-your-Zedboard\/?ALLSTEPS\">a project\u00a0whose goal<\/a><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Putting-wheels-on-your-Zedboard\/?ALLSTEPS\">\u00a0is to build a simple two-wheeled motorized robot<\/a> controlled by a <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/zedboard\">ZedBoard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"735\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G1EHIW-waQw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>For this project, you&#8217;ll need a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,403,1132&amp;Prod=MRK-BASIC\">Motor Robot Kit (MRK Basic)<\/a>. Instead of using the <a href=\"https:\/\/digilent.com\/blog\/Products\/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,892,1218&amp;Prod=CHIPKIT-PRO-MX4\">chipKIT Pro MX4<\/a> to control the robot, you&#8217;ll use a ZedBoard.\u00a0You can also buy the components for the project separately if you don&#8217;t need an extra MX4 board.<\/p>\n<p>This project is basically an exercise in hardware and software communication. After you&#8217;ve gotten all your parts together, attach the motor mount to the platform. Attach the Pmod clips to the bottom of the platform and the ZedBoard to the top. Then, attach the motors to the motor mount. Attach battery pack and H-bridge modules to the bottom of the platform. At that point, you will connect the H-bridges to the ZedBoard. Then, configure\u00a0the ZedBoard and run the robot!
